Not every apprentice destined for greatness knows it yet — Cobb Alderwick is still singeing his own hair and promising customers steel he hasn't quite figured out how to forge. He's earnest, he's overeager, and he's exactly the kind of small, human-scale NPC that makes the Market Ward's Artisan Workshops feel lived-in rather than decorative. For DMs who want a likeable low-CR presence with real heart (and real stakes hiding in his workbench), Cobb delivers.

Appearance: Cobb is seventeen and still growing into a frame that hasn't decided what it wants to be yet, all elbows and knees under a leather apron two sizes too big, cinched tight with a belt. His face is perpetually soot-smudged, he's missing a front tooth from an early workshop mishap he'll happily tell you the whole story of, and one side of his hair is shorter than the other from where a forge flare singed it last spring. His hands are already rough with calluses and small burn scars, and his eyes light up, genuinely, at the mention of good steel.
