Sigra Truecut - Keeper of Ash'rift's Forge-Records
In a settlement that measures worth by what you've done, dwarf archivist Sigra Truecut keeps Ash'rift's oldest forge-records by cutting every tablet herself. She'll tell you exactly what the stone says about the Ashen Crown, and exactly where the stone goes quiet.
Introduction
Ash'rift is a settlement that trusts what it can see done. Blades get tested, warriors get burned, and a promise means nothing until somebody's hands are scarred proving it. Which makes the low, heat-dry chamber under the forge vents a strange place to find one of the most important people in the city. Down there, past the stacked grey slabs and the grates that breathe warm air up through the floor, a dwarf works a chisel by lamplight, cutting the city's own history into stone one line at a time. Sigra Truecut has kept Ash'rift's forge-records for forty years, and she has never once asked anyone to take her word for anything.

"Every line on these tablets was cut by hand. Tell me again that isn't action."
Appearance: Sigra is broad even for a dwarf, with the thick forearms of someone who has spent four decades hauling stone that weighs more than she does. Her hair is soot-grey and bound back in a single braid wound with copper wire, and her knuckles carry ash so deep in the creases that no amount of scrubbing has ever fully lifted it. She wears an apron of overlapping slagglass plates, dulled and pitted from vent heat, and a pair of smoked lenses pushed up on her forehead for close work. Fine white nicks run the length of both hands, the mark of a chisel that slipped years ago and a woman who never bothered to hide it. She speaks slowly, sets things down carefully, and looks at people the way she looks at an unfamiliar maker's stamp.
