Apostate Fenroar - The Werewolf
He howls not at the moon—but with it.
Role in Its Society:
Apostate Fenroar is no mindless beast. He is a convert, a prophet of the lycanthropic truth. Where others see the werewolf curse as infection, he calls it purity—a release from shame, control, and civility.
Once a respected priest of Seressa the Veiled Moon, Fenroar vanished during a lunar eclipse. He returned weeks later, reborn in fang and fury, and began to spread the curse like scripture, building a cult of moonbound who call themselves the Wyrmflesh Redeemed.
To him, lycanthropy is a divine sacrament. And every time he tears into mortal flesh, he believes he is saving a soul.
Appearance Description:
In his human form, Fenroar is striking: pale, silver-haired, with cold blue eyes and clerical robes in shreds. Scars crisscross his arms like ritual brands. His hands twitch when idle—fingers curling as if resisting claws.
In hybrid form, he becomes a towering werewolf with ashen fur, glowing blue glyphs etched into his hide, and a maw that bears both hunger and grief. In full wolf shape, his coat shines silver under moonlight, and his eyes remain unmistakably human.

Backstory:
Fenroar served as a theologian in Emberfall, obsessed with the duality of restraint and instinct. When he uncovered forbidden liturgy suggesting lycanthropy as a “divine unmasking,” he sought out cursed blood himself—and offered his body beneath the Great Birch of Gloomshade.
He did not become a monster.
He became a believer.
Now he walks the forests and crumbling shrines of Eldervast, seeking out the shamed, the hunted, the “civilized"—and offering them the moon’s gift.
