Archivist Nollik Threave - The Sage
"Time is a spiral, and Iโve spent a century indexing its knots."
Name: Archivist Nollik Threave
Race: Tortle
Class/Role: Level 9 Wizard (Divination)
Appearance: Nollik is a large, weathered tortle with a domed shell covered in chalk runes, etched prayers, and cracked ritual seals. His skin is a deep mud-green with ivory-hued plates, and his eyelids blink horizontally when deep in thought. He wears no traditional robes โ instead, straps, scroll loops, and satchels are affixed to his shell. A gilded monocle hangs from a brass chain over one eye, and a delicate arcane astrolabe is embedded into his plastron just above the sternum, softly glowing with drifting constellations.

Backstory
Born centuries ago in a flooded monastery deep within the Riverine Delta, Nollik Threave was taught to revere the written word as the only true measure of immortality. While others of his clutch ventured outward to seek their fortunes or follow the stars, Nollik remained below, tending to the drowned archives of the Siltvault โ a labyrinthine underwater library that once served as a planar observatory.
As a sage of prophetic texts and celestial alignments, Nollik grew obsessed with time โ how it breaks, folds, and forgets. He founded the Order of the Verdigris Hour, a fellowship of tortles and mortals dedicated to preserving future knowledge. Now, Nollik rarely leaves his lighthouse-like archive tower on the marsh's edge, but his insights find their way into courts, guilds, and tombs alike.
