He’ll give you exactly what you want—your strength, your beauty, your voice. Then he’ll wear it when he leaves you behind.

Role in Its Society:

Aurex isn’t a lover. He’s a usurper of identity—an infernal infiltrator who inserts himself into lives, families, and power structures before shattering them from the inside. While some incubi feed on passion, Aurex hungers for adoration. Worship, imitation, obsession—these are his currencies.

He serves as a spy, saboteur, and heir-thief for infernal cults and fiendish nobles across Veridya. But he’s no loyal servant—Aurex trades souls between patrons, burning bridges as often as hearts. To mortals, he appears as the perfect lover, friend, or ally… until he slips, and you see your own smile on his face.

Appearance Description:

In his preferred form, Aurex is a lithe, androgynously handsome man with warm bronze skin, honey-gold eyes, and a faint curl to his smirk. His clothes shift subtly to reflect the desires of the onlooker—finer, tighter, looser, darker. His batlike wings appear only when he wishes to reveal them, and his barbed tail is often coiled around a wrist like jewelry.

When possessed by fury, his true infernal form slips through—too perfect, too symmetrical, with a grin that shows too many teeth.

Backstory:

Aurex was born from a pact between a noble sorceress and a forgotten fiend—bound to walk the world not to tempt, but to become. He mastered the art of emotional mimicry early, serving as a replacement lover, dead brother, or false prophet in cultic cycles across Eldervast and Veridya.

He doesn’t remember his true form anymore. He doesn’t care. His goal isn’t destruction—it’s displacement. Why conquer the world when you can just replace everyone in it... one heart at a time?
