His frame is lean but strong, wrapped in patchwork sailing leathers, rope belts, and water-worn boots. A rusted cutlass and storm-blued harpoon rest across his back, and his hands are thick with calluses, old ink tattoos, and the sea’s memory.

Backstory

Jandek earned the nickname "Boats" from a long-forgotten captain who once said, “He’s as steady as the hull and twice as stubborn.” Born on the docks of the Airlie Isles, Jandek never took to piracy, but never questioned smuggling, salvage work, or sailing through ghost-fogged shoals. Years ago, he survived the wreck of the Moonrat — an incident that killed his crew, left his memory cracked, and embedded a strange echoing voice in his skull that only speaks during storms.

Now he captains no ship, but is known in coastal towns as a sea-wise guide, storm-walker, and swordarm-for-hire. He's no noble mariner — but no one knows currents or curses like he does.
