Brewmaster's Shop

Brewmaster's Shop

Set within thick stone walls and timber-framed charm, this dwarven-run taproom is both rustic and refined.

The Staggering Goat Brewery exudes warmth, craftsmanship, and the comforting hum of community. Gleaming brass distillation tanks hiss with gentle steam in the brewing area, while racks of casks and barrels line the back wall beside a bubbling fermentation vat. A roaring hearth casts flickering shadows over oaken tables, filled with half-finished ales and plates of hearty fare. The scent of hops, roasted malt, and spiced meats drifts through the air, blending with the low murmur of conversation and the occasional clank of tankards.

At the heart of the establishment is Korrim Stouthammer, red-cheeked and barrel-chested, ruling from behind the bar like a king of clinking mugs. The taproom floor is well-worn by boots of farmers, mercenaries, and merchants alike—each coming to taste Korrim’s legendary darkroot stout or settle disputes under his iron gaze. To the locals, the brewery is more than a business; it's a sanctuary of truth, tradition, and a bit of tipsy wisdom. Whether you're there to toast a victory, whisper a secret, or start a tavern brawl, the Goat has seen it all.

Intended Use:

This battle map serves as both a social encounter hub and a potential combat zone within a TTRPG campaign. Players might use The Staggering Goat as a place to gather information, seek guidance from Korrim, or interact with townsfolk. It’s ideal for roleplay-heavy sessions where secrets are shared over ale, feuds are settled with diplomacy or drink, and quests are handed out with a hearty slap on the back. The layout is perfect for placing important NPCs, such as traveling emissaries, shady patrons, or Korrim himself holding court behind the bar.

In more action-driven moments, the map transitions smoothly into a battle-ready interior, with plenty of environmental elements for cover, improvised weapons, or tactical movement. Barrels can be rolled, tables overturned, or the fireplace weaponized. A bar fight, a stealthy midnight break-in, or an attack from enemies seeking to silence Korrim or poison the brew supply could all take place within its walls. It's also perfectly suited for side quests tied to the brewing operation—be it a rare ingredient gone missing, sabotage from rival brewers, or a cursed keg wreaking havoc on the patrons.
