Appearance: Alric is gaunt but wiry, his pale skin stretched over angular features carved by decades of restraint. His once-brown hair is shaved in a monastic style, with streaks of ash-white creeping in from the temples. His eyes glow faintly red in darkness, though he covers them with a stained linen wrap when among the living. He wears humble robes patched and mended by hand, a wooden holy symbol of a broken sun always visible at his chest. Dried blood often stains his knuckles—never fresh.
Backstory
Alric was a devoted monk of the Temple of Last Light, a reclusive order in Sorrowind Pass charged with tending to forgotten dead and performing rites for unclaimed souls. When a vampire warlord razed the surrounding villages, Alric stood his ground—and was taken, not slain.
The turning broke something in him… but not everything. With his faith fractured and bloodlust rising, he returned to the temple and sealed himself within its crypts. There he tends the graves, recites prayers, and fasts between carefully rationed “donations” from those brave or desperate enough to visit. He seeks redemption through discipline—but the hunger never sleeps, and neither does he.
