Backstory
Born and raised in Brightcrown's Crownheart Ward, Oren grew up watching justice sold to the highest bidder. After witnessing the wrongful execution of his brother, he enlisted into the Watch, climbed ranks through grit and intelligence, and refused every bribe offered along the way. Now operating as a Special Investigator, Oren works cases no one else will touch — murders tied to noble families, arcane trafficking rings, or vanishings linked to the Sunken Ward. He’s earned the nickname “Iron Vance” among colleagues — not because he’s unkillable, but because he never lets go of a case.
