Elias Claythistle - Expert Potter
"A good bowl holds soup. A great one holds a story."
Name: Elias Claythistle
Race: Halfling
Class/Role: Potter
Appearance: Elias is a stocky halfling with wide shoulders and dust-covered clothes. His curly brown hair is always speckled with clay, and he often has a smudge on his nose from absentminded work. His hands are strong but gentle, with short fingers stained a permanent reddish-gray. He wears an apron hand-stitched with old family symbols, and he always keeps a bit of wet clay behind his ear—“just in case.”

Backstory
Elias was raised in Haltcross Hamlet nestled at the edge of Verdant Weald, where his mother and grandmother taught him to read the shapes in vessels: signs of abundance, loss, family, and blessing. While others chased glory, Elias stayed to make urns for ashes, bowls for the poor, and ceremonial cups for seasonal rites. His pottery often includes subtle glyphs of protection or remembrance—many believe they’re magic. Elias won’t say, only that “the hands remember.” He runs Thistlewheel Kiln, where strangers come to sit, spin, and speak what weighs on them.
