Envoy-Rector Thaless Xioran
The architect of magical law, he speaks in layered truths, drafts treaties that rewrite memory, and disappears from conversation before you realize he ended it.
Name: Envoy-Rector Thaless Xioran
Race: High Elf
Class/Role: Arcane Diplomat / Subtle Wizard
Appearance: Thaless is statuesque, with pallid, unblemished skin and silver-gold hair bound into intricate loops under a councilman’s circlet of obsidian and gold. His robes are always pristine, stitched with geometric arcane sigils in starlight thread. His violet eyes are calculating and patient, rarely blinking. A lacquered staff with a floating obsidian ring never leaves his side, and his voice is smooth, calm, and affectless—often leaving more unease than assurance.

Backstory
Thaless was born into an ancient, ancestral bloodline, groomed for public service and arcane mastery from childhood. As an initiate of the College of Ethereal Concordance, he specialized in magical law, planar regulation, and mind-stabilization theory. After quietly ending a dangerous planar breach caused by royal experimentation, he was promoted directly to Envoy-Rector, serving as magical adviser and regulatory enforcer for the Crown.
While others politic with armies or gold, Thaless manipulates consent, legality, and memory. He has authorized arcane black sites, sanctioned teleportation embargoes, and edited official records to prevent panic. He is neither malicious nor benevolent—he is the machinery of magical order.
