Eryndor — Aurora Trail Guide
“When the sky walks in colors, listen—those are the road’s true signs.”
Name: Brinya
Race: Kalashtar (psion-touched human)
Role: : Aurora Trail Guide
Appearance: Tall with a runner’s frame, Eryndor looks mostly human at first glance: olive-pale skin that halos faintly in cold air, high cheekbones, and a steady, contemplative gaze. Look longer and you notice the psionic tells—irises like backlit ice (pale blue with a soft inner glow), a barely perceptible double-shadow at his temples, and fine “whisper lines” (silver traceries) along his jaw and brow. Black hair, shot with white threads, is tied into a high topknot to clear his eyes. He wears layered snow-gray travel leathers beneath a seal-lined trail cloak and light crampon boots. A short spear with a carved waystone haft rides in one hand; a compact bow and a coil of flag line hang at his shoulder beside a pouch of marked cairn chips.

Backstory
Eryndor was born in Vastwyn Valley, where storms roll like drums across open hills; his gift for reading sky and silence drew him west to the Whispering Tundra. In Frosthold he apprenticed with old route-men, then began walking the aurora routes few dare—setting waystone cairns the wind can’t swallow, teaching crews to “hear” drift hollows, and mapping whiteout refuges between North Gate and the Tempest Peaks shrines. He consults with Thrain on ice seams, times Kethra’s relays to aurora lulls, and marks safe sightlines for Varrik’s patrols when lamps fail. He speaks of the sky like a living book—one learned letter by letter on nights when the town slept and he kept watch alone.
