Hissra-of-Three-Scars – Mercenary Skirmisher
“Secrets rot faster when you help them along.”
Name: Hissra-of-Three-Scars
Race: Lizardfolk
Role/Class: Mercenary Skirmisher
Appearance: Hissra is tall and powerfully built, her scaled hide a muted slate-green crossed by three prominent scars carved deliberately into her flesh—ritual marks of exile rather than wounds of battle. Each scar is different: one jagged slash across her shoulder, one burn spiraling around her forearm, and one deep notch cut along her jawline.
Her gear is utilitarian and well-maintained: reinforced hide armor layered with bone plating, weighted for balance in water and mud. A barbed spear rests constantly within reach, its haft etched with kill-marks rather than decoration. A hooked blade hangs at her hip for close quarters. Her yellow eyes are steady and unblinking, measuring distance, terrain, and threat without emotion.
She moves with practiced efficiency, never wasting motion.

Backstory
Hissra was exiled from her clutch after refusing to submit to a dominant matron who sought to sacrifice outsiders to appease a failing territory spirit. Hissra argued—not from mercy, but pragmatism. The marsh punished waste, not restraint.
Her dissent earned exile.
Branded with three scars to mark her severance from clan protection, Hissra survived alone by selling her strength and knowledge of marsh warfare. Over time, she learned the value of contracts over loyalty. Gold replaces kin. Completion replaces honor.
Yet Hissra keeps one rule: she never takes a contract that threatens to destabilize the marsh beyond recovery. The land rejected her—but she still listens to it.
