Lethai Bloom-Burned – Marsh Herbalist / Vision-Alchemist
“Every cure opens a door. I decide which ones stay shut.”
Name: Lethai Bloom-Burned
Race: Wood Elf
Role/Class: Marsh Herbalist / Vision-Alchemist
Appearance: Lethai Bloom-Burned is lean and sharp-featured, her elven grace tempered by visible damage. Faint burn-scars lace her hands and forearms—not raw wounds, but pale, petal-shaped marks that glow faintly when exposed to marshfire light. Her eyes are an unsettling shade of green-gold, pupils slow to contract, as if perpetually adjusted to altered states.
Her hair is ash-blonde and worn short, cropped after a chemical burn that never fully healed. She dresses in layered leathers and oilcloth wraps, reinforced with stitched pockets containing vials, seed pods, and folded herb-paper packets. A breathing scarf often hangs loose at her neck—used when harvesting volatile blooms. She smells faintly of crushed leaves, smoke, and bitterness.

Backstory
Lethai was once a conventional healer, trained in woodland groves far from the estuary. When fever plagues struck Brackish Brinelands settlements, her traditional remedies failed. Desperation pushed her toward marsh flora long considered unsafe—hallucinogenic blooms, dream-reeds, and spore-heavy mosses.
During one such harvest, a volatile flower ignited when exposed to marshfire gas. Lethai survived, but the explosion altered her senses permanently. Colors sharpened. Scents deepened. And plants began responding to her presence differently.
Rather than abandon the work, Lethai leaned into it. She now cultivates cures that skirt the edge of poison and visions that border on prophecy. Some credit her with saving dozens. Others whisper that she leaves pieces of people behind.
