Neris Frostglass — Glazier & Ice-Sculptor

Neris Frostglass — Glazier & Ice-Sculptor

“Light remembers—give it clean edges, and even winter will shine.”

Rich

Name: Neris Frostglass
Race: Eladrin (Winter)
Role: : Glazier & Ice-Sculptor
Appearance: Neris is willowy and precise, her winter-pale skin faintly opalescent like hoarfrost at dawn. Long hair the color of moonlit snow is braided into a crown threaded with slivers of blue glass. Her eyes are cool steel-gray, reflective and unreadable. She dresses in layered whites and glacial blues: a fitted wool undercoat beneath a sleeveless, seal-lined apron stitched with tool loops. Delicate glass charms chime softly when she moves. She carries a leather roll of chisels and picks, a light tapping mallet, and a satchel of powdered “frostglass” and resin. Even at rest, cold curls the air near her breath.

Backstory

An eladrin from a quiet atelier in the far reaches of Gloomshade, Neris traveled north after a traveling exhibit in Brightcrown convinced her that true winter light lives at the edge of the Whispering Tundra. She settled in Frosthold and took on civic work: reglazing cracked windows blasted by gale, installing “storm panes” in the town hall, and carving festival sculptures that bend lamplight into safe corridors during whiteouts. Her proudest work is the stained-ice rose in Salla’s hall and the mirrored snow-lanterns that mark Vedra’s warm routes. When the Tempest Peaks winds howl, Neris is out with apprentices and a sled of panels, sealing fractures before they bloom. She believes craft is service—and that in a hard town, beauty is a kind of heat.
