Riln the Gloomhand – Poisoner / Information Broker
“Secrets rot faster when you help them along.”
Name: Riln the Gloomhand
Race: Half-Elf
Role/Class: Poisoner / Information Broker
Appearance: Riln is unremarkable at first glance—slender, average height, and dressed in muted travel leathers designed to blend into docks, barges, and marsh paths alike. Only on closer inspection do details betray his trade: fingertips permanently stained dark from toxin handling, a faint chemical sharpness clinging to his clothes, and eyes that linger just a moment too long when someone speaks.
His hair is dark and kept short, his half-elven features deliberately understated. He wears layered gloves that can be shed quickly and carries a small bandolier of stoppered vials hidden beneath his cloak. Nothing about him looks dangerous until it already is.

Backstory
Riln learned early that survival in the Brackish Brinelands favors those who know when to act rather than how hard to strike. Raised among river traders and ferry crews, he watched disputes end not with blades, but with illness, debt, and well-timed rumors.
He refined poisoncraft not as a weapon of assassination, but as leverage. A slow sickness buys time. A reversible toxin creates obligation. Antidotes, when paired with secrets, become currency.
Riln trades information both ways—selling secrets in exchange for access, favors, and influence. He never poisons without purpose, and never kills unless the return is absolute.
