Sethek-Ka rules no living subjects, but the undead legions entombed with him stir at his command. He is worshiped in secret by desert cults who believe he will bring an age without death, while the nomads of the dunes speak his name only in whisp
rs, fearful of drawing his attention. Within his domain, every grain of sand is a spy and every shadow a herald.
Appearance Description:
Sethek-Ka’s body is wrapped in pristine, gold-embroidered bandages. A jeweled death mask of lapis and obsidian hides his withered face, and his eyes burn with a steady amber glow. Golden rings and amulets, each inscribed with ancient curses, hang from his desiccated arms. His every movement releases a faint aroma of dust and myrrh.
Backstory:
Once the ruler of a prosperous desert empire, Sethek-Ka sought immortality through forbidden rites. The gods granted his wish—twisted, eternal, and bound to his tomb. In life, he built his own funerary city, sacrificing entire caravans to ensure his afterlife. Now, those who trespass into the buried ziggurat risk awakening him, and if they do, they awaken his kingdom with him.
