Sevi of the Hush — Rumor Broker
“Speak softly, pay fairly, and let the walls forget your face.”
Name: Sevi of the Hush
Race: Changeling
Role: : Whisper-Post Mistress & Rumor Broker (dead-drop curator, after-hours fixer)
Appearance: In her unmasked form, Sevi is willowy with pearl-gray skin that seems to take on nearby hues, pupil-less opal eyes, and white-silver hair worn in a low knot. Fine “seam lines” trace her cheekbones and jaw—a tell when she’s tired. She dresses for anonymity: charcoal winter coat over padded leathers, fingerless ink-stained gloves, a scarf that can hide the lower face, and soft boots that don’t squeak on wood. At her belt: a ring of pigeon-key tokens, a punch for wax seals, a slim stiletto, and a lacquered whisper-coin. When working the booths she favors a dozen “faces”—dock clerk, courier, auntie, scribe—each with its own voice and gait.

Backstory
Sevi grew up amid alley markets in Brightcrown, where keeping a secret meant keeping a life. After a winter crush killed three on a dark block, she swore she would build a safer way to pass word. She came to Frosthold and carved out the Whisper-Post Parlor off Market Square: curtained booths, a dead-drop wall behind a sliding shelf, and a ruleset engraved on tin—no extortion, no names, no blood. She trades in leads, not leverage, and moves quiet help where it counts: a warning to Brinya before a bell stampede, a map pin for Varrik when a kite goes dark, or a clean alias for a dockhand who needs to testify. Sevi keeps ties with Ingrid for civic concerns and will quietly ask Father Halvor to hold names for the Night of Clear Names when a rumor ends badly.
