Talgyr — Memory-Keeper & Trance Therapist
“Memories are threads—breathe, and we will weave them back together.”
Name: Talgyr
Race: Loxodon
Role: : Memory-Keeper & Trance Therapist
Appearance: A towering, soft-eyed loxodon with slate-gray, weather-lined skin and a calm, deliberate grace. Talgyr’s trunk bears silver thread-rings near the tip for delicate work; modest ivory tusks often capped in engraved brass. He wears layered winter blacks beneath a thick, wool-lined shawl clasped with a snowflake-and-knot medallion, and a long tabard stitched with names of the departed. A satchel holds incense cones, a tea brazier, and vellum memory tablets; an oaken staff doubles as a walking stick and gong beater. His breath huffs like a small bellows, and faint rosemary and cedar cling to his clothes.

Backstory
Talgyr wandered north from quiet mendicant cloisters in Vastwyn Valley after serving storm refugees there; Frosthold’s long nights needed steadier hands. At the Wool-Mind Remembrance House—a timber hall just off the Lamplight Row—he tends the trance room, records memory tablets, and guides the bereaved through breath and story. He stands beside Father Halvor at the Winter Rite Circle, counsels Brinya on after-shock crowd care, and keeps a “list of threads” for Sevi, ensuring dangerous rumors unwind before they choke the town. When the Memorial Cairn Row is read at season’s end, it is Talgyr who sets the pace, touching each name with his staff so grief can breathe between syllables.
