Thane Gorak Ironsunder
A war-forged patriarch who governs with iron, tradition, and the certainty that the world is always one mistake away from collapse.
Name: Thane Gorak Ironsunder
Race: Mountain Dwarf
Class/Role: Warlord / Clan Thane
Appearance: Gorak is as broad and immovable as the ridges he defends. His thick, ash-grey beard is bound in three rings of hammered adamantine, each engraved with battle dates. His armor is an ancestral suit of blackened plate etched with runes of vigilance and storm-forged resilience. His left eye is replaced with a glowing shard of sky-steel—an old battlefield injury, now an arcane lens. He always stands tall for a dwarf, gripping a war pick more like a scepter than a weapon. His voice is low, gravelly, and utterly unwavering.

Backstory
Gorak Ironsunder rose to power during the Stormhold Rebellions, where he led a warband that held the pass at Halefrost Gate for thirteen straight days against superior numbers. The king of Highcrest offered him a seat on the Royal War Council—Gorak declined, declaring his loyalty to Crestview Ridge alone.
Since then, he’s ruled from Stoneveil Hold, a fortress buried into the mountain spine. Though respected, his isolationist policies have strained alliances. He stockpiles weapons, trains militias, and prepares for the next war—which he insists is always coming. Some say he sees visions of it. Others say he’s creating it.
