The Elder Council Chamber
The Elder Council Chamber is a perfect circle of authority and legacy, perched high within the palace’s administrative level.
Its pale stone walls are carved with recessed alcoves holding marble busts of former council members, each stern expression turned eternally toward the center of the room. Beneath them, engraved seals mark the founding districts of Brightcrown, a quiet reminder that every decision made here ripples outward into the city below.
At the heart of the chamber stands a massive round table of dark polished stone, inlaid with a silver-and-gold map of the greater region. Twelve carved chairs encircle it, positioned for deliberation, alliance, and accusation alike. Three tall arched windows of deep blue glass filter the daylight into cool tones, washing the chamber in muted color. Heavy carved wooden doors anchor the north and south walls, while above the northern entrance a narrow clerks’ gallery overlooks proceedings from a discreet elevation.
Intended Use:
The Elder Council Chamber is designed for pivotal political scenes — votes that shift power, emergency war councils, or tense negotiations between rival factions. The circular layout encourages direct confrontation; there is no hiding from scrutiny at the central table. The tinted blue glass subtly distorts perception, making color-based signals or magical effects more difficult to interpret, adding a layer of intrigue to both roleplay and mechanical play.
