Aurexion - The Deva
He descended in a beam of flame and silence. The raiders dropped their blades. Some wept. Some ran. I dropped to my knees. Not from fear… but from knowing I was seen.
Role in Its Society:
Aurexion is a true divine instrument — a sword-hand of the gods sent to intervene in mortal events when faith is fraying or the balance of good and evil is under strain. Unlike subtle emissaries or hidden watchers, Aurexion is a visible force of celestial will, known by his arrival: light, heat, and the sound of wings parting the heavens.
He is often dispatched to worlds or regions on the brink of moral collapse — not to punish the wicked, but to remind the righteous of their strength. His presence signals divine attention. And his sword only falls when all else has failed.
To other celestials, Aurexion is respected but feared — his faith is absolute, his clarity unshaken, and his memory long.
Appearance Description:
Aurexion towers with godlike physical presence — golden-skinned, broad-shouldered, and cloaked in flowing, rune-woven robes over radiant armor that gleams like molten sunsteel. His blond hair flows like a lion’s mane caught in windless light, and his luminous violet eyes blaze with divine purpose.
Massive wings, white-gold and tipped with faint fire, extend from his back. His greatsword is a solid beam of radiant energy contained within a shaped hilt — inscribed with celestial law.
Backstory:
Aurexion was forged in the Age of Creation at the founding of the pantheon of Gaiathrae. He served at the right hand of Karma – Goddess of Justice and Balance, but always returned to mortal realms when prayers no longer reached the heavens.
His last recorded manifestation was a century ago, during the Siege of Ember’s Gate — where his intervention ended a demon incursion by sheer presence. Since then, Aurexion has walked only the dreams of paladins, waiting for the gods to call him once more into flesh and fire.
