Dockside Salve Stall
Dockside Salve Stall is a tight, lantern-warmed nook carved into Heathdun’s working waterfront—a small pocket of commerce and craft hemmed in by timber posts, stacked barrels, and the ever-present slap of water below.
A canvas awning sags overhead, catching sea mist and casting the space in soft shadow, while rope lines and pilings frame the stall like a cage of practical necessity. The stone floor is worn and damp, the kind of surface that never fully dries, and every corner looks used: crates tucked under ledges, jars hung within arm’s reach, and tools laid out for fast hands.
At the heart of the stall sits a long worktable and a steaming brine pot, sending pale vapor into the air in slow curls that blur edges and thicken the light. Lanterns hang low, their glow catching on glass and wet stone, while nearby dock planks and waterline access make the space feel one step from escape—or one step from a plunge. It’s intimate and functional, but not safe: the brazier’s heat, the slick footing, and the tight lanes turn even a small scuffle into something dangerous and fast.
Intended Use:
This map is ideal for close-quarters scenes with high narrative value—a quick meet, a tense exchange, a covert pickup, or an interrogation that can turn violent in seconds. The cramped footprint naturally forces melee engagement, while barrels, crates, and the worktable provide reliable half cover for desperate defenders or ambushers. It’s perfect as a “micro-encounter” location that can slot into a broader chase through Heathdun’s harbor district, or as the focal point of a social scene where blades stay sheathed… until they don’t.
