But if you match her late husband’s voice, silhouette, or scent… her obsession spirals into possession. Elaris doesn’t want revenge. She wants restoration. She believes the living can be recast into the roles of her past—and she will use every ounce of power to make that happen.
Appearance Description:
A faded woman in a dark velvet gown, veil drawn across her face. Her form flickers between ethereal translucency and photoreal illusion—sometimes appearing fully alive, glowing with candlelight, only to blur into smoke and sorrow. Her veil ripples as though in water, and phantom hands sometimes grasp from beneath it.
Backstory:
Elaris Venn was once the lady of Briarhollow, a reclusive noble who lost her husband during a ritual accident that cracked open a conduit between worlds. Unwilling to accept his death, she used forbidden rites to anchor his soul—but she failed. Her husband’s spirit was lost, and hers bound in his place.
In undeath, she replays the last day of her life, hoping to find the choice that will change the ending. Each “guest” who enters the manor becomes part of her illusioned masquerade, trapped in tragic theatre until her fragile fantasy shatters.
