Lift Platform & Winch Yard
Lift Platform & Winch Yard clings to the cliff like a scar of industry—an exposed cargo shelf where salt wind howls through rigging and every plank creaks with strain.
A massive winch drum dominates one end of the yard, its thick cable spooled tight as a coiled muscle, while the stone underfoot is worn smooth by boots, dragged crates, and constant spray. Worktables and tool stands sit wherever the rock flattens, surrounded by barrels, spare timbers, and bundled rope—evidence of a place that’s always repairing itself faster than the sea can ruin it.
At the yard’s center, a crane tower rises over the loading zone, its arm extended toward open air with hooks hanging ready—half promise, half threat. Ropes and lines vanish over the cliff edge, suggesting lift cages and cargo drops to docks far below, while narrow ladders and rough steps stitch together the different elevations of the platform. It’s a battlefield defined by exposure: wide-open lanes, hard cover in pockets of supplies, and a constant awareness that the edge is never far—and the ocean is always waiting.
Intended Use:
This map is built for objective-driven encounters where control of machinery matters as much as combat—stop the lift, seize the winch controls, secure a cargo drop, or rescue someone dangling over the surf. The open yard gives space for tactical movement, but the cluttered work areas (tables, crates, barrels, rope piles) provide frequent half cover that turns firefights into a series of micro-positions to contest. It’s ideal for tense standoffs that erupt fast: dock guards versus raiders, rival crews fighting over a shipment, or a desperate defense while a lift cage rises (or falls) on a timer.
