Varkhazek was once a decorated tactical commander of the infernal legions, a Bearded Devil elevated to the rank of Hell's Reaver under the Archduke Bel. After refusing a direct order to raze a mortal temple that sheltered infernal deserters, Varkhazek was cast out, his soul branded with the Rune of Rebellion.
Now stranded on the Material Plane in the volcanic outskirts of Emberfall he has carved out a fortress of ash and steel, gathering outcasts, devils, and damned mortals into a brutal but principled warband. His code is one of ruthless honor, and his hatred burns brighter than the hellfire he once wielded in service.
Appearance Description:
Varkhazek is a towering infernal warrior, with scorched crimson skin and layered obsidian-black armor inscribed with infernal runes and ancient war prayers. His beard is a living mass of writhing barbed tendrils, each tipped with embers that hiss in the wind. His horns curl like smoke-carved blades, and his eyes glow like twin furnace grates. Every movement he makes radiates the heat of controlled fury.
His signature weapons are a jagged glaive of volcanic iron and a flame-split dagger, each imbued with unrepentant vengeance.

Varkhazek was forged in the blood pits of Avernus and rose through infernal ranks with strategic brilliance and brutal efficiency. But when he refused to follow orders that would dishonor his personal code, he was exiled. The punishment wasn’t death—it was banishment without honor, a sentence worse than oblivion.
