Whitecap Fogline Pier
Whitecap Fogline Pier is a small coastal dock that feels half-real in the haze—its lanternlight smudged by mist and its edges softened by spray.
A low cliff wall presses close on one side, sheltering net sheds and smoke-stained drying racks that cling to the stone like barnacles. The pier itself stretches out in warped planks and uneven rail lines, with rope-lashed posts and dangling nets that vanish into the fog just beyond the lantern glow.
On the working deck, crab pots and tar barrels are stacked in rough clusters, creating pockets of cover amid cluttered lanes. Everything is wet: slick boards, damp stone, and sea mist that beads on every surface and turns a simple step into a gamble near the edge. A narrow side path slips toward tide-washed steps descending to rock pools below—an escape route, an ambush lane, or a trap depending on who controls it. Near the sheds, a bell post stands ready, the one clear voice in a place where sight fails: ring it for an alarm, a distraction, or a final signal when the fog closes like a door.
Intended Use:
This map is built for low-visibility tension—ambushes, standoffs, and short, brutal fights where positioning matters because sightlines don’t. The uneven lantern spacing creates islands of illumination separated by shadowy gaps, rewarding stealth, sound-based tactics, and careful movement. The pier’s clutter provides frequent half cover, while the wet footing and open edge keep forced movement relevant even in a relatively small footprint.
