Zerathiel - The Marilith
“Order is brittle. Chaos is honest. And I am very good at making honesty lethal.”
Role in Its Society:
Zerathiel is a demon general, a rare and terrifying convergence of Abyssal savagery and disciplined command. While most demons embody unrestrained destruction, mariliths like Zerathiel prove that chaos can be directed—and that when it is, entire battlefronts collapse under its weight.
Within the Abyss, Zerathiel commands warbands not through fear alone, but through demonstrated supremacy. Demons follow her because those who do not die quickly. Those who do are rewarded with victories, plunder, and survival. Her presence on a battlefield signals not a random incursion, but a campaign.
To devils and celestials alike, Zerathiel represents an unsettling truth: that chaos, when wielded by a strategic mind, can rival even Hell’s most rigid doctrines of war.
Appearance Description:
Zerathiel towers over most foes, her upper body a powerful, lithe humanoid torso crowned with a fierce, horned visage. Her eyes burn with molten gold, alive with predatory intelligence. Six muscular arms fan outward from her shoulders, each one trained to wield a blade independently yet harmoniously.
Below the waist, her body becomes a massive serpentine coil, scaled in dark crimson and obsidian, scarred by countless battles. Infernal runes are carved directly into her scales—trophies of victories, not enchantments. Each movement of her coils is precise, coiled tension held in perfect readiness.
Zerathiel is rarely unarmed. Her blades differ in shape and purpose: some jagged for tearing armor, others curved for dismemberment, all honed to supernatural sharpness. When she advances, steel sings.

Backstory:
Zerathiel rose during a prolonged Abyssal conflict where demon hordes repeatedly shattered against organized resistance. While other leaders hurled bodies forward, she studied enemy formations, exploited weaknesses, and introduced coordinated assaults unheard of among demonkind.
Her victories earned her the title Sixfold, a reference not only to her arms, but to her ability to track multiple battlefronts simultaneously. Entire crusades have failed because Zerathiel anticipated them days before the first blade was drawn.
Legends claim Zerathiel once defeated a devil general in single combat—not through strength alone, but by deliberately allowing chaos to appear uncontrolled, luring her enemy into fatal miscalculation.
